Elie Saab - Haute Couture collection Spring/Summer 2017 in Paris (with interviews)

Designer : Elie Saab Inspiration : Egypt, the richness of its culture and its art at the beginning of the 20th century and especially in the 40-60sCollection: around beige and blue, the new princesses of Eli Saab seem to come straight out of a palace of the Arabian Nights. Naked shoulders and backs contrasting with the big train on the back, each dress is embroidered with Egyptian stories, of the Nile and its boats, by way of calligraphy, mashrabiya, palm trees or the Udjat eye.To note : the flamboyant jewelry like the jeweled headbands.Interview with TomPecheux :When Elie showed me the collection and I saw all the skin colours, its magnificent, It goes from the off-white to the more sustained skin colors and that the only other colors were the blues, from pale blue to navy blue … in the 40s, 50s and 60s for us it’s Brigitte Bardot, Egypt is Dalida, we are in full swing, it's the news, it’s the new film that coming out, it inevitably makes you want to create an eyeliner and it makes you want to do an eyeliner that is not just a black, but something with a proposal that is a blue and black eyeliner. So it was nice to have this freshness, it was nice to bring colour around sunny spring. Interview with Olga Kurylenko : I’ve known it for a long time, and we are really like a family now, because it’s been a long time that it has dressed me for events, I love what it does, it’s absolutely amazing. Frankly it’s hard to even choose what we prefer because there is such a big choice, what it presents is always splendid.
